Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Announces New Managing Director and CEO and also New Senior General Manager

Petaling Jaya, 2nd April 2007 – Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. announced today with immediate effect the company's new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Atsushi Fujimoto.

Atsushi Fujimoto, 44, previously a Manager in the Product Planning and Marketing Office for Automobile Operations in Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo, Japan will take over the position of Yasuhide Mizuno, 43, who will assume the post as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer in Honda Australia Pty., Ltd.

The charismatic and accomplished Fujimoto has joined Honda ever since March 1986. He began his career at Honda in the Domestic Sales Department in Osaka, Japan. Several years later, he moved on to various key departments including the Automobile Planning Office, Product Planning Office in Automobile Operations and Sales Planning Office in Automobile Planning Office. In April 1996, Fujimoto was transferred to Regional Operations in Automobile taking care of the Middle East, Near East, Europe and Africa Sales Division.

In August 1999, he had his first overseas posting in Kocaeli, Turkey for three years as the Head of Sales and Marketing where he successfully enhanced the Honda brand in Turkey before he was transferred back to Tokyo, Japan. Fujimoto played an important key role in overseeing marketing strategy for Honda Worldwide as the Manager in the Product Planning and Marketing Office for Automobile Operations in Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo, Japan.

Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd also announced the appointment of Kitaro Ishiwata as new Senior General Manager of Finance. Ishiwata, 53, previously a Manager in Automobile Business Management Block in Automobile Purchasing Planning Department in Japan, had overseas postings in Asia Pacific namely Thailand and Indonesia. Ishiwata will succeed Kohei Kaji, who will now assume the post of Manager in the Foreign Exchange Department, Finance Division in Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo, Japan.
