Honda Malaysia understands this very well and recently organized a day trip to Genting Highlands for all Honda associates.
The Family Day is an annual affair to strengthen families' relationship as well as to appreciate Honda associates for their hard work.
The day started bright and early on a Saturday morning where more than 3,000 Honda associates and family members join in the fun of the Family Day.
The bus ride to Genting Highlands was filled with excited chatter and laughter from Honda associates and their family. Upon arrival, all Honda associates were gathered for an official opening ceremony and a short speech by Mr. Atsushi Fujimoto, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Atsushi Fujimoto said, "On behalf of Honda Malaysia, we are pleased to host you and your family members to this Family Day out at Genting Highlands. We hope that this trip can provide an opportunity to build and strengthen your relationships with each other as well as with your own family members. We would like to say that we appreciate you and your contributions to Honda Malaysia and this is your day!"
Mr. Fujimoto added that Honda Malaysia is a company that enjoys sharing the greater joys with people around the world and to be recognized as a company that society wants to exist. And this Family Day is in line with that core value.
During the Family Day, Honda Malaysia arranged a series of activities for Honda associates to have a fun and memorable time with their families. The activities include a 'logo' writing contest where Honda associates write the word "Dreams". Children were also not left out as they had three different contests to participate in namely a colouring contest, drawing contest and jigsaw puzzle contest.
Honda Malaysia also provided theme park tickets for all Honda associates and their family members.
After a scrumptious lunch, a prize giving ceremony was held for the winners of the "Dreams" contest as well as the children's contests. Among the many prizes given out for the "Dreams" contest are a 42" Panasonic Plasma TV, Dell Laptop and a Sony T Premium Digital Camera.
The winning children went home with Playstation Portable (PSP), Electronic Dictionary, Monopoly Set, MPH vouchers and many more goodies.
"It is a wonderful opportunity for me to go on a trip to Genting Highland with my family. My mother and I enjoyed ourselves very much and got to know many new friends here. As a Honda associate, this Family Day gave me the chance to get to know other associates from different departments," said Angel Sam, associate from Spare Parts Department.
