Kota Kinabalu, 5 January 2017 – Honda Malaysia (or the Company) today officially launched the stylish yet practical Full 7-Seater Crossover, the All-New BR-V for the East Malaysian market simultaneously with the launch in Kuala Lumpur. The Honda BR-V (also known as
Bold Runabout Vehicle) has been specially developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) for the ASEAN market and is the first HRAP model to be introduced in Malaysia.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Roslan Abdullah, President and Chief Operating Officer of Honda Malaysia said, “In the year 2016, Honda Malaysia managed to achieve 2nd position in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV) and maintained the 1st position in the Non-National TIV. We ended the year with a market share of 15.8% and 91,830 units sales, above our target of 90,000 units. This resulted in Malaysia achieving the 2nd highest market share among Honda’s operations in the world.”

The All-New BR-V is powered by Honda’s 1.5L i-VTEC engine combined with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology. This powertrain provides a smooth driving experience, with reduction of weight and improved fuel economy for a Full 7-Seater Crossover.
Packed with practical and value added features that will appeal to families, the All-New BR-V does not compromise at all on its looks. Its solid SUV exterior gives off a bold and tough appearance while the solid wing front face design provides a sleek outlook. A set of
16” Dual Tone Alloy Wheels, a Roof Rail and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) completes that rugged look and feel of a SUV. Rearview camera and reverse sensors are also available in this Full 7-Seater Crossover for customers’ convenience.
Stepping into the All-New BR-V, one will experience the stylish and high quality material, huge space and convenience of a Rear Air Conditioner. The V variant takes it a step higher by providing B-Segment premium features such as 6.1” Display Audio and Auto Air Conditioning, Push Start Button and Smart Entry, leather trims, leather steering wheels with Switch Audio Control. On the other hand, the versatility of the All-New BR-V will impress with its multi-seat configuration where 2nd row seats adjusts with an easy One Touch Tilt & Tumble in a 60:40 configuration while 3rd row seats comes in a 50:50 Tilt & Tumble. A generous 11 cup holders offer the utility fit for a big family on the go without compromising on the space.
The All-New BR-V is known for many class toppers such as the biggest trunk space (223 litres with all seats up, 539 litres when 3rd row seats are folded), highest engine output (120PS) and highest ground clearance (201mm). The All-New BR-V was developed with Honda’s G-CON Technology, to reduce occupant injury during collisions. It is also equipped with Dual Front SRS Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and ISO Fix. The All-New BR-V was awarded by 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating for Adult Occupant Protection and 4-Star rating for Child Occupant Protection.
The Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) improvement on the All-New BR-V includes Bulkhead (BHD) improvement to muffle the sound measure; insulators for back roof lining, hood and doors and improved steering vibration. As a result, the All-New BR-V offers a quiet and comfortable ride for the family.
Honda Malaysia is offering the All-New BR-V in 2 variants, the E and V variants. Both variants are designed to meet the differing requirements of the All-New BR-V customers. The prices of the All-New BR-V for Sabah, Sarawak and Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan are as below:

E variant is priced at RM86,800 (OTR with Insurance) and the V variant is priced at RM93,800 (OTR with Insurance)
For Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan:
E variant is priced at RM74,100 (OTR with Insurance) and the V variant is priced at RM79,900 (OTR with Insurance)
The All-New BR-V is available in five colours, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White and a brand new colour, Golden Brown Metallic.
The monthly nationwide sales target for the All-New BR-V is at 800 units. Honda Malaysia’s sales target for the All-New BR-V in East Malaysia is 12% of the overall sales.
The All-New BR-V also comes with three versatile accessories packages to further enhance the exclusivity and the practicality of the car. The Utility Package priced at RM1,280 includes Door Visor, Cargo Tray, Trunk Organiser, Sun Shade and Door Protector Film. The Urban Package includes Tailgate Spoiler, Running Board and Side Step Garnish and is priced at RM2,945. The Modulo Package is priced at RM3,750 and the offerings are front and rear Lower Garnish as well as side under and Tailgate Spoilers.
